  • Q1. Am I able to access SDA ?

    To access SDA support you must have: an extreme functional impairment or very high support needs. You also need to be eligible and receive payments from the NDIS for your SDA.

  • Q2. How do I know what type of SDA I need ?

    Depending on your individual needs, our team will be able to assign or customise your SDA Home. Finding out all the relevant data on the participant is a crucial aspect of our process.

  • Q3. How does SDA work?

    People who reside in SDA are supported by the NDIS. The SDA payments are a part of your NDIS plan if you are eligible to live in SDA.Your SDA landlord receives the funds directly.

  • Q5. What is SDA ?

     

    SDA stands for Specialist Disability Accommodation. It is housing for NDIS participants: with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs. SDA homes contain accessible features to help participants live more independently and allow other supports to be delivered better or more safely. 

  • Q6. What is the NDIS ?

    In 2010, the Australian Government asked the Productivity Commission to carry out a public inquiry into a long term disability care and support scheme 

     

    The productivity commission received more than 1000 submissions from people with disabilities and the disability sector. The messages were clear, the existing system didn’t work

     

    Therefore, the NDIS was created. It began trials in 2013 and was introduced across Australia in 2016 by the Gillard government
